A simple yet effective skincare routine for every woman

Once you’re a twenty-something woman, you want to get a few things in order. One of those things is to master a good skincare routine so that you can take care of your skin as well as possible. But what is a good way to keep your face glowing? The answer can be found below.

Step 1: Cleanse your face

In the morning, cleanse the face to remove dirt and bacteria from the night. In the evening you remove your makeup, but also the dirt and sebum that has accumulated on your face during the day. Which product works well? The Beautify editors swear by an oil-to-milk product, because we notice that it removes all leftover makeup and makes our skin feel softer. The new NIVEA Cleaning Oils are perfect for this.

What exactly is oil-to-milk and why is it so good?

The innovative oil-to-milk formula combines the effective efficacy of an oil with the soft feel of a cleansing milk. It effectively removes dirt, sebum and even waterproof makeup to give you perfectly clean and silky smooth skin – regardless of your skin type. This makes it suitable for normal skin, but also for dry and sensitive skin.

When used, the natural oils melt away dirt, sebum and even waterproof make-up. Adding a little water turns the oils into a silky smooth cleansing milk that doesn’t leave a greasy film on the skin.

How do you use it?

This product is very easy to use. The steps are as follows:

  • Pump a little of the cleansing oil into your hand and massage it onto the skin with dry hands
  • Add a little water so that the oil turns into a soft milk
  • Then rinse your face with water, et voilà

Step 2: Exfoliate your face

Step 2 in your skincare routine is to exfoliate your face. We consciously say exfoliate instead of exfoliate, because we have learned over the years that an exfoliant is much better and preferable for your skin.

A scrub contains a coarse grain and such a grain can irritate your skin considerably. An exfoliant, on the other hand, contains acids. And although ‘acids’ may sound heavier than ‘exfoliating’, it is in practice a much finer product for the skin.

You use a so-called AHA or BHA exfoliant to neatly remove dead skin cells from your skin, so that your skin shines like a super model.

When do you use an AHA exfoliant?

But how do you know which exfoliant suits you? Very simple, by looking at your skin type. For example, an AHA exfoliant best fits into the skin care routine of a woman with normal to dry skin. This product works very well if you have pigmentation spots.

When do you use a BHA exfoliant?

Do you not necessarily have normal to dry skin, but rather skin that is combined to oily? Then a BHA exfoliant is your partner in crime . Especially if your skin is prone to acne. A BHA exfoliant is great to use if you suffer from blackheads, impurities, clogged pores and / or sensitive, red skin.

Step 3: Moisturize your face

Finally, it is important to moisturize your skin. Regardless of your skin type. Oily skin needs hydration just as much as dry skin, you just use a different cream for it. For dry skin, for example, choose a day and night cream that moisturizes the skin well. Women with combination or oily skin prefer not such a heavy cream, but a light lotion or gel that gives your skin just enough nutrition without it feeling too heavy.

Day cream with SPF

During the day, we recommend that you always wear a day cream with an SPF. The number one cause of skin aging is the sun’s harmful rays. Even now that summer is over, it is important to continue protecting your skin.

Night cream

At night you do not need that SPF and you are looking for a product that nourishes the skin and can restore it at the same time. After a long day, your skin can use such a pamper moment. It is one of the ways to keep your skin so beautifully healthy and radiant. This is the final step in your simple yet effective skincare routine.

And it’s that simple: a three-step skin care routine that leaves your skin clean, soft and radiant.
